Shakib Khan

Shakib Khan is a dedicated and inspiring Lecturer in Business Management at the University of Hull London Study Centre. With a passion for student success, he brings a wealth of academic and industry experience to the classroom, ensuring students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical skills needed for a competitive business landscape.

Holding a BA (Hons) in Business Management from Buckinghamshire New University and an MSc in International Business Management with Entrepreneurship from Kingston University—where he achieved a Distinction—Shakib is now undertaking doctoral research at Kingston University London. His research explores an interdisciplinary intersection of marketing, innovation management, new product development, and the evolving role of Generative AI, offering students valuable insights into cutting-edge industry trends.

With over five years of teaching experience in higher education in the UK and abroad, he has previously served as a Programme Manager and Lecturer at OLC Europe Ltd, Manchester. His diverse background also includes extensive professional experience as a Management Consultant and in Operations Management across various UK industries. As a trained PRINCE2 Agile Project Management expert, he has successfully led projects that bridge strategic planning with adaptive execution, equipping students with real-world insights into project management and business operations.

Beyond academia, Shakib is a former journalist and an accomplished international musician, bringing creativity, communication skills, and a global perspective to his teaching approach. A member of the Society for Education and Training, he is also working towards Fellowship status with the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
